Dyslexia is a genetic condition; you are born with it. Children of dyslexic parents have a 50% chance of being dyslexic themselves. If both parents are dyslexic, it is almost certain that the child will also be dyslexic. This highlights the importance of dyslexia awareness and the need for effective dyslexia resources to empower dyslexic students.
